The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of SRM Valliammai Engineering College has organized the 11th National Level Technical Symposium (EMERGE 2021) “Emerging Technologies in Electrical and Electronics Engineering” on 1st October 2021 through Virtual mode. The Symposium was organized with the primary objective of bringing together academicians and practitioners in Electrical and other associated fields on a common platform to share their knowledge and expertise, so as to contribute towards research and development in the field. Technical events like Paper Presentation, Crosswords, Connections, Postermania (Poster presentation), Creative_Fest, Electrography (photography Event) were conducted in the symposium EMERGE 2021. About 20 papers on diverse topics Stratellite, Spectrum pooling, Dataloggers, AI in power station, Smart Antennas, Thermography, Hwakeye Technology, Smartstep, Energykite, Microbivore, and other technical topics were received for the conference from reputed institutes across the country.
The Inaugural session of the Symposium began with the invocation followed by the Welcome Address delivered by Ms.K.Subasri, 4th year EEE, Student President, the chief guest introduction was given by the Mr.R.Sri Ganesh, 4th year EEE. The souvenir for EMERGE 2021 was released by the chief guest, Ms.L.Gurupriya B.E., Manager, Bharath Heavy Electricals Limited, Power sector Southern region, Chennai. Dr.K.Elango, Professor and Head , Felicitated the gathering and congratulated the office bearers of the Symposium for making fruitful attempts to organize the symposium for the 11th consecutive year.
Following this, the chief guest of the function presented the inaugural address. In his address he highlighted the importance of organizing such symposium for the benefit of student community as well as Faculty. He pointed out that such symposium would ignite a spark in the minds of budding engineers and they would be triggered to explore more in the areas of their interest and also highlighted the importance of Grid Relay Testing. Following the inaugural address the symposium souvenir was released by the chief guest. The session ended with the vote of thanks delivered by Ms.Unnimaya, Final year EEE.
