AICTE -ISTE Sponsored Six days Induction/Refresher Programme-Phase-III held on 03.03.21 to 09.03.21

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, SRM Valliamami Engineering College has successfully conducted AICTE-ISTE sponsored Induction/Refresher Programme on “Recent advancements in High Voltage Engineering” Phase-II in online mode from 03.03.2021 to 09.03.2021. The Induction programme addressed the various topics related to advancements in High Voltage Engineering. This event was aimed for faculty members in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in colleges. There were 46 participants registered for this programme of which 37 external participants and 9 internal participants who have attended and were benefited by this event. This refreshment programme was organized with a view to make the participants aware about various topics related to field of High voltage Engineering.

Day 1 (03/03/2021) -Session I: Dr.S.Gopinath, Associate Professor, Dept of EEE, Annasahep Dange college of Engineering & Tech , delivered a lecture on Condition assessment of Insulation system on HV rotating Machinery using Hybrid Intelligent Techniques
Day 1 (03/03/2021) -Session II :Dr.M.Ravindran, Associate Professor, Dept of EEE, National Engineering College, delivered a lecture on Recent Trends and Design of standalone Power system with switch gear

Day 2 (04/03/2021) -Session I&II: Dr.R.Madavan, Associate Professor, Dept of EEE, PSR College of Engineering, delivered a lecture on Liquid Insulation system for Power Transformers
Day 2 (04/03/2021) -Session III: Mr.T. Santhosh Kumar, Assistant Professor, Dept of EEE, SRMVEC delivered a lecture on Power system stability issues in Indian Grid.

Day 4 (06/03/2021) -Session II: Mr.S.Venkatesh, Assistant Professor, Dept of EEE, SRMVEC delivered a lecture on Power flow control in High voltage Transmission system.
Day 5 (08/03/2021) -Session I& II: Dr.L.Kalaivani, Professor, Dept of EEE, National Engineering College, delivered a lecture on Design of High Voltage Insulators using FEM in COMSOL software
Day 5 (08/03/2021) -Session III:, Dr.S.Malathi, Assistant Professor, Dept of EEE, SRMVEC delivered a lecture on Optimization in Transmission Tower structural design.
Day 6 (09/03/2021) -Session I& II: Dr.R.V.Maheswari, Professor, Dept of EEE, National Engineering College, delivered a lecture on Partial discharge pattern recognition using artificial neural network and its implementation in MATLAB
