AICTE -ISTE Sponsored Six days Induction/Refresher Programme “RHVE-2k21"(Phase-II)

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, SRM Valliamami Engineering College has successfully conducted AICTE-ISTE sponsored Induction/Refresher Programme on “Recent advancements in High Voltage Engineering” Phase-II in online mode from 03.02.2021 to 09.02.2021. The Induction programme addressed the various topics related to advancements in High Voltage Engineering. This event was aimed for faculty members in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in colleges. There were 62 participants registered for this programme of which 48 external participants and 14 internal participants who have attended and were benefited by this event. This refreshment programme was organized with a view to make the participants aware about various topics related to field of High voltage Engineering.
TECHNICAL SESSIONS:
Day 1 (03/02/2021) -Session I & II : Prof.Dr.C.Kalaivanan, Dept of EEE, Sona College of Technology, delivered a lecture on Condition monitoring and testing of Insulating material in HV applications and Condition monitoring and testing techniques for HV Circuit breakers.
Day 1 (03/02/2021) -Session III: Dr.G.Udhaya Kumar, Associate Professor, Dept of ECE, SRMVEC delivered a lecture on Machine Learning Techniques for HV applications
Day 2 ((04/02/2021) -Session I&II: Dr.S.Chandrasekar, Professor-EEE, Dean (R&D), Sona College of Technology, delivered a lecture on High Voltage sensors and PD measurements.
Day 2 ((04/02/2021) -Session III: Mr.S. Balaji, Assistant Professor, Dept of EEE, SRM VEC, delivered a lecture on High Voltage sensors and PD measurements.
Day 3 ((05/02/2021)- Session I: Dr.Sivaraman.P, Assoc.Prof & Head -EEE Bannari Amman Institute of Technology, delivered a lecture on Effects of Lightning on HV systems

Day 5 ((08/02/2021)- Session II: Dr. Senthil Kumar.S, Professor-EEE, New Prince shri Bhavani College of Engg. & Technology delivered a lecture on Grounding Practices for HV Equipment’s.

Day 6 ((09/02/2021)-Session III: Dr.B.Muthu Senthil, Associate Professor, Dept. of CSE, SRMVEC delivered a lecture on Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning usecases and its AWS services
Day 6 ((09/02/2021)-Session IV: Dr.Malathi, Assistant Professor, Dept. of EEE SRMVEC Conducted the Feedback session and Technical test through online for the participants.
