“EMERGE 2K21” (Virtual Mode) on 03-04-2021

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of SRM Valliammai Engineering College has organized the 10th National Level Technical Symposium (EMERGE 2021) “Emerging Technologies in Electrical and Electronics Engineering” on 03th April 2021 through Virtual mode. The Symposium was organized with the primary objective of bringing together academicians and practitioners in Electrical and other associated fields on a common platform to share their knowledge and expertise so as to contribute towards research and development in the field. Technical events like Paper Presentation, Electronic Treasure Hunt , Assemble it (Circuit Design) and Technical quiz (Quiz contest) were conducted in the symposium EMERGE 2021.About 16 papers on diverse topics encompassing Robotics, Embedded Systems, Power Systems, PLC, DSC &SCADA, MEMS & Nano Tech, Electrical drives & control, Advanced Wireless techs, Fuzzy and Neuro Computers, Emerging Trends in renewable energy and other technical topics were received for the conference from reputed institutes across the country.

The Inaugural session of the Symposium began with the invocation followed by the Welcome Address delivered by Mr.S.Akilan, 4th year EEE, Student Secretary, the chief guest introduction was given by the Student Vice President Ms.C.Nithiya sree , 4th year EEE. The souvenir for EMERGE 2021 was released by the chief guest, Mr.S.Harish Kumar , Technical Assistant, Grid Relay Test , TANTRANSCO ,Korattur. Dr.K.Elango, Professor and Head , Felicitated the gathering and congratulated the office bearers of the Symposium for making fruitful attempts to organize the symposium for the tenth consecutive year.

Following this, the chief guest of the function presented the inaugural address. In his address he highlighted the importance of organizing such symposium for the benefit of student community as well as Faculty. He pointed out that such symposium would ignite a spark in the minds of budding engineers and they would be triggered to explore more in the areas of their interest and also highlighted the importance of Grid Relay Testing. Following the inaugural address the symposium souvenir was released by the chief guest. The session ended with the vote of thanks delivered by Ms.K.Subasri ,3rd year EEE, Joint Secretary of EMERGE 2K21.
