FDP on EE8004-Modern Power Converters from 23-11-2020 to 28-11-2020

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of SRM Valliammai Engineering College has conducted Six days Faculty Development Programme on the topic “EE8004-Modern Power Converters” during 23rd Nov 2020 to 28th Nov 2020 through Microsoft Teams online platform for the Faculties. The First day sessions were presented by the Resource person Dr.S.Malathi, Asst. Prof. (Sel.G)/EEE, SRMVECwho conveyed the topics behind Switched Mode Power Supplies (SMPS). The Second day sessions were presented by the Resource person Mr.S.Balaji, Asst. Prof. (O.G)/EEE, SRMVEC who conveyed the topics behind AC-DC Converters. The Third day sessions were presented by the Resource person Mr.P.Rathnavel, Asst. Prof. /EEE, Sri Sairam Institute of Technologywho conveyed the topics behind DC-AC Converters. The Fourth day sessions were presented by the Resource person Mr.S.Padhmanabha Iyappan, Asst. Prof. (Sr.G)/EEE, SRMVECwho conveyed the topics behind AC-AC Converters with and without Dc Link. The Fifth day sessions were presented by the Resource person Ms.M.Ramjan Begam, Asst. Prof. (O.G)/ EIE, SRMVEC who conveyed the topics behind Soft-Switching Power Converters. On the Sixth day, Group Discussion, Test & Feedback sessions were made. The faculties interacted with the resource persons very much and cleared their doubts. The participants found that the Programme was quite informative & very much useful.
