FDP on EE8017-High Voltage Direct Current Transmission from 23-11-2020 to 28-11-2020

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of SRM Valliammai Engineering College has conducted Six days Faculty Development Programme on the topic “EE8017-High Voltage Direct Current Transmission” during 23rd Nov 2020 to 28th Nov 2020 through Microsoft Teams online platform for the Faculties. The First day sessions were presented by the Resource person Dr.R.Madavan, Assoc. Prof./EEE, PSR Engg. College, Sivakasi who conveyed the topics behind Introduction to High Voltage Direct Current Transmission. The Second day sessions were presented by the Resource person Mr.P.Manikandan, Asst. Prof./EEE, School of Engg. Tech, Christ University, Bangalore who conveyed the topics behind Analysis of HVDC Converters. The Third day sessions were presented by the Resource person Dr.S.Gopinath, Assoc. Prof./EEE, Annasahep Dange College of Engg. Tech, Maharashtra who conveyed the topics behind Converter and HVDC System Control. The Fourth day sessions were presented by the Resource person Dr.R.Arivalahan, Assoc. Prof./EEE, SRMVEC who conveyed the topics behind Reactive Power and Harmonics Control. The Fifth day sessions were presented by the Resource person Mr.V.Sudhagar, Asst. Prof. (Sr.G)/EEE, SRMVEC who conveyed the topics behind Power Flow Analysis in AC/DC Systems. On the Sixth day, Group Discussion, Test & Feedback sessions were made. The faculties interacted with the resource persons very much and cleared their doubts. The participants found that the Programme was quite informative & very much useful.
