Guest lecture on “Power Systems Stability Issues in Indian Grid” held on 20-10-2021

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of SRM Valliammai Engineering College has conducted Guest lecture on the topic “POWER SYSTEM STABILITY ISSUES IN INDIAN GRID” on 20th October 2021 through the MS Team (Online Mode) for students’ community. The session was presented by the resource person Ms. C. S. Anusha, M.E., Trainee Engineer-High Voltage Division, Vestas Technology R/D India, Chennai -119. The session started with introduction and importance of power system stability. She discussed about the Indian grid types and functions of that grids. Then she discussed about stability in power systems and she explained issues arising in Indian grids with regard of power system stability in detail. She shown detailed statistics about our Indian grid system clearly. At the end of the session the students interacted with the resource person. The participant’s felt the guest lecture was very informative and also had exposure in power system stability. The lecture was attended by EEE students of II, III, IV years and faculty members along with Head of the Department Prof. Dr.K.Elango.
