International Guest Lecture on 11-10-2020

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of SRM Valliammai Engineering College has conducted International Guest Lecture on the Topic of “Artificial Intelligence in Electrical Engineering” on 11th October 2020at 5.00 P.M to 6.30 P.M Through the MicroSoft Teams (Online Mode) for Internal and External Staff Members and Students. The Session was presented by the Resource Person Mr.S.Sundara Vel, B.E., (Alumni), Data Scientist, Kaisens Data, France who conveyed the Artificial Intelligence in the Electrical Engineering such as, Neural Networks, Fuzzy Logic applications for Industrial Automation. He discussed the Basic and Fundamental structure of Neurons and Architecture elements present in Neural Networks.He has explained about the different Learning Methods of Neural Networks such as, Supervised Learning, Unsupervised Learning, and Reinforced Algorithm. He also explained about Neural Networks applications in Image Processing, Voice Recognition Technique,etc. He also shared the topicssuch as, Power Systems Applications, Automation of Vehicle, IOT Systems in the Electrical Engineering. He also discussed about the opportunities for Electrical Engineers for Machine Learning Concepts through Neural Networks for the Future focus. At the end of the session the Students and Staff of Internal and External interacted with the Resource Person and he has cleared their doubts. The Participants found that the International Guest Lecture was very informative and also had exposure to Artificial Intelligence in Electrical Engineering Role and its importance for the Future trends.
