International Seminar on 16-10-2020

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has conducted International Seminar on 16th October 2020 on the topic “Electrical Safety in Substation & Power Transmission, Energy and Solar Projects in Middle East” through the MS Team (Online Mode). Mr.Mohammed Tariq, Senior HSE Advisor, Tractebel Engineering S.A (Dubai branch) came over to host the presentation, who is having more than 10 years of experience in Electrical Safety.

He provided a wide knowledge on the Electrical safety, from the basic concepts of substation to safety measures carried out in Substation. Various types of Substation Equipments like Earthing transformers, Circuit Breakers, Isolators, etc., and also about the transmission system has been given crystal clear explanation. Also, explained the various solar projects carried out in UAE. Shown the pictures of substation safety equipments which made the participants to learn its features. Atlast, the Resource Person delivered his speech with a Substation Virtual tour, which seems to be attractive to realise the real time features seen in Substation.

He shared his working experience anddiscussed the opportunities in his field. The students of EEE as well as students from other discipline shown their participation towards this programme. Faculties from our college as well as from other college and some industrial persons too shown their interest in participating this International Seminar. The programme has been ended with doubt clearing session andthe Alumini as well as the Resource person has been appreciated for his valuable speech.
