Seminar on “Electrical Panel Drafting using AutoCAD” Held on 02-09-2021

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of SRM Valliammai Engineering College has conducted Seminar on the topic of “Electrical Panel Drafting using AutoCAD” on 2nd September 2021 through the MS Team (Online Mode) for students’ community. The session was presented by the resource person Mr. M.Mahendran, Associate Software Engineer, Accenture India Pvt Ltd, Chennai. He started with the basic introduction of AutoCAD and its benefits in Electrical Engineering. He discussed about the difference between AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical, how to use AutoCAD Workspace and GUI, Ways to provide commands and How to Design Electrical Panels in AutoCAD. He also conveyed the Features of the software, Utility commands, and Reasons to use AutoCAD Electrical. He also emphasized the Career opportunities in the Electrical Field. Also, he shared his experience as a student in our college. At the end of the session the students interacted with the resource person and cleared their doubts. The participants felt Seminar was very informative and also had exposure in Electrical Panel Drafting using AutoCAD.
