Seminar on the topic “Artificial Intelligence in Power Station” on 20.10.2022

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized a Seminar on the topic “Artificial Intelligence in Power Station” in association with Renewable Energy Club, IEEE SRM Valliammai Student Branch, Institution’s Innovation Council, ISTE Faculty Chapter & ISTE Student Chapter on 20.10.2022, for the benefit of students of EEE.

The event started with welcome address delivered by Mr.K.Sanjay, IV-year EEE, Ms.J.Jessica of II-year EEE presented the Department achievements of academic year 2021-22 and Mr. S.J. Keran Aditya of II-year EEE introduced the resource person. The Resource person Mr.Deep Sharma, Directive General Manager, South Zone (Zonal Head), Godrej & Boyce Pvt. Ltd Ambattur, Chennai delivered the lecture on the concept of artificial intelligence and the various sources of power generation. The seminar focused on Application of Artificial Intelligence to the various types of power generation. Finally, he discussed about the AI applications to renewable energy systems. At the end of the session the students interacted with the resource person and cleared their doubts. The participants found that the Workshop was very informative. Around 99 students and 17 faculties of EEE attended the workshop. Mr. P.M.Dhanasekar, III-year EEE delivered the Vote of thanks and thanked the resource person for accepting the invitation.
