Workshop on the topic “Autonomous Electric Vehicles” on 21.10.2023

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized a Workshop on the topic “Autonomous Electric Vehicles” in association with Renewable Energy Club, IEEE SRM Valliammai Student Branch, Institution’s Innovation Council, ISTE Faculty Chapter & ISTE Student Chapter on 21.10.2023, for the benefit of students of EEE.

The event started with welcome address delivered by Mr. Pragaadesh.C of II-year EEE. Ms. S.Alan Maraesha of II year EEE presented the Department achievements of academic year 2022-23 and Mr. Muhesh.N of III year EEE introduced the resource person. The Resource person Dr.G.Mahalakshmi, Head(R&D), EVNEXUS Private Limited, Chennai delivered the lecture on concept of Electric Vehicles. The workshop focused on construction, working and advantages of E-Vehicles. Also explained in detail how to charge E-Vehicle. Finally, she discussed about the current status and major challenges of Electric Vehicles in India. At the end of the session the resource person shown a demo of E-Vehicle to the students and interacted with the students and cleared their doubts. The participants found that the Workshop was very informative. Around 86 students and 15 faculties of EEE attended the workshop. Mr. Syed Reyas S. N, II year EEE delivered the Vote of thanks and thanked the resource person for accepting the invitation.
